EEIT Wishes Everyone a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!

As the new year begins, we pause to look back with gratitude for how God’s goodness and faithfulness have guided us throughout 2025. The war continues to bring destruction, suffering, and extraordinary challenges to every area of life in Ukraine, including the church and theological education. Despite these circumstances, and thanks to your unwavering support, we have been able to continue our mission: to develop academic theology in Ukraine and the region, support educational institutions, publish new research, initiate relevant theological projects, and serve those affected by the war.

Throughout 2025, we implemented a number of important initiatives, including:

two books by Ukrainian Christians reflecting on the war were published: Beatitudes and Terror: A Ukrainian Theological Response to Russian Aggression and Light in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Stories of Ukrainian Christians During the War. Both books were published in Ukrainian and English;
a series of educational seminars for early-career researchers was held as part of the project “Foundations of Academic Literacy.” In addition, the project included a final session in the methodological seminar series “Public Theology in the Context of Overcoming the Totalitarian Past,” as well as several open lectures delivered by leading theologians.
the fourth Summer School of Theology 2025 was organized on "World with Broken Borders: Theological Perspectives on Displacement and Diasporas", bringing together 16 speakers and over 300 participants from 50 countries around the world;
we published two issues of Theological Reflections: Eastern European Journal of Theology: "Theology of Migration and Diaspora" (new issue) and "Theology of Memory in the Context of Experiencing Trauma and Collective Violence".

We are deeply grateful that you have walked alongside us through this challenging year. Your prayers, words of encouragement, and financial support helped us remain faithful to our calling and mission.
