Fall Issue of “Theological Reflections” Is Now Available on the Journal’s Website

Dear authors and readers, we are pleased to announce that the new issue of Theological Reflections: Eastern-European Journal of Theology 23.2 (2025) is available to read on the journal's website.

This time, the journal's editorial board decided to devote a special issue to migration and diaspora, particularly displacement caused by wars and by economic and social circumstances in various countries, as well as to the theological understanding of these processes.

The issue features six scholarly articles and nineteen reviews and short reviews of recent books and theological debates. In particular, two articles in biblical studies offer resources for reflecting on the identity of migrants and refugees in light of Old and New Testament studies. Two other publications offer missiological responses to the challenges of migration and cultural adaptation, using Evangelical Christians from the Romanian diaspora in Europe and the Chinese diaspora in Canada as examples. Another article examines leadership and spiritual formation among Evangelical Christians of the Slavic diaspora in the United States, particularly those from Ukrainian churches, as well as communities from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, and Central Asian countries, with a focus on current theological rethinking. Beyond the issue’s thematic scope, a thorough study of ecumenical relations between Ukrainian Baptists and Greek Catholics is also published.

We sincerely thank the authors of the journal for their contribution to this issue. We also express our gratitude to our partners Mesa Global, READ Ministries, and Hodos Institute for their long-standing financial support of Theological Reflections: Eastern-European Journal of Theology.
