Presentation of the Book "Light in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Stories of Ukrainian Christians During the War" Was Held in Lviv Today

Today in Lviv, a presentation of the book "Light in the Valley of the Shadow of Death: Stories of Christians" was held at the initiative of the Eastern European Institute of Theology. The book contains twelve stories told by believers of evangelical protestant churches who have been fighting to save Ukraine’s statehood and help its suffering society since the first days of the war.

According to editor Roman Soloviy, the project aims to overcome stereotypes describing Protestants as distancing from society. The authors of the book share their experience of military service, chaplaincy, volunteering, educational activities and artistic work, and reflect on the complex ethical and theological questions that arise in times of war.

The Eastern European Institute of Theology expresses its sincere gratitude to the authors of the book, as well as to all those involved in the project. Special thanks to the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary, which provided the venue for the event.
