Open Lecture with Thomas E. Reynolds: Philosophical Resources for Relational Theology of Disability
The Eastern European Institute of Theology invites you to a long-awaited lecture with Thomas Reynolds, Professor at the University of Toronto. This lecture is an extension of the Summer School of Theology 2024 "Living in the Body: Disability as an Opportunity for Welcoming the Other". This is the 19th lecture of the School on Disability Theology. The lecture topic is “Philosophical Resources for a Relational Theology of Disability.” Together with the speaker, we will discuss the theological and philosophical potential for the development of disability theology.
Thomas Reynolds
Thomas Reynolds is Associate Professor of Theology at Emmanuel College at the University of Toronto. While especially interested in interreligious dialogue and disability studies, he also teaches and writes on a range of topics related to constructive theology, theological method, intercultural engagements, contextual theologies, philosophical theology, and the thought and influence of Friedrich Schleiermacher. One of his latest books is Vulnerable Communion: A Theology of Disability and Hospitality.
A simultaneous interpretation of the lecture into Ukrainian will be provided. Therefore, we invite all the participants of the Summer School and anyone interested to join us on November 1 at 17:00 Kyiv time on Zoom.
