Ph.D. in Theology
Pavlo Shevchuk specializes on the contemporary political theology, paying special attention to the criticism of secularism and to the question of the re-finding of the church’s place in the public sphere. Reflecting on the history of political thought and on the current tendencies he is striving to find relevant model of state-church interaction for the Ukrainian context.
After completing his bachelor in history at the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv he earned his master’s degree in religious studies at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University. In 2020 he defended his dissertation on the topic “Political Theology of Radical Orthodoxy.”
