Publication of the Ukrainian Translation of the Book "On Being the Church. Revisioning Baptist Identity"
The Eastern European Institute of Theology, in partnership with the Odesa Theological Seminary and the Dukh i Litera Publishing House, prepared and published a Ukrainian translation of the book On Being the Church. Revisioning Baptist Identity. The authors of the book are well-known theologians of the Baptist tradition — Brian Haymes, Ruth Gouldbourne, and Anthony Cross.
This book re-examines Baptist theology and practice in the light of contemporary biblical, theological, ecumenical, and missiological perspectives. The authors provide a revision of the historical insights from the believers' church tradition, offering a rethinking of forgotten elements and a new understanding of the church and its existence in today's globalized, multicultural, secularized world.
The book is intended for Baptist believers, believers of other Christian confessions, religious scholars, and anyone interested in theology and ecclesiology.
