The Eastern European Institute of Theology invites everyone to the eleventh seminar in the series “Foundations of Academic Literacy for Authors of Theological Texts,” which will take place on December 4 at 5:00 p.m. Kyiv time online. This time, we will be joined by the Editor-in-Chief of Mission Studies (Brill), Dorottya Nagy. Seminar title: "Passing by the “Publish or Perish Principle”: Academic Writing as a Process of Generating Publishable Ideas".

During the seminar, we will focus on how to develop ideas that are suitable for publication. We will start by looking at the academic context, where the “publish or perish” pressure can affect young scholars and limit creativity and motivation. Next, we will explore what makes an idea publishable. The main part of the seminar will be devoted to creative writing and generating new ideas, with plenty of time for discussion and interaction with participants.
